Costa Rica Home Builders is different from other builders in Costa Rica and here is why.

Your house begins with selecting plans that were designed to be lived in, not just something that is easy to mass produce. Next, the plans are customized to your lot conditions and to meet all of your specific needs. During this process a list of mandatory designs features are incorporated into every house plan. These are things that are generally taken for granted back in the states such as:

• All of the windows and doors have screens. Don’t laugh but screens are a rarity in this country even with the millions of bugs that live here.
• We install either solar water heating or an energy efficient electric tank heater, not an undersized electric point of use unit.
• All of our homes are 100% adapted to the local building practices and codes.
• The kitchen sink naturally will have a disposal.
• There will be a dishwasher.
• A water connection for your ice maker.
• The master bedroom is sized for a king size bed and the normal bedroom furniture along with an entertainment system.
• Guest bedrooms are sized big enough for a queen size bed.
• The propane gas tank for the kitchen range will be located outside with safe piping into the kitchen area.
• The dryer is vented to the outside the correct way.
• The range hood is properly vented to the outside.
• All electrical outlets will be those designed for US appliances.
• All faucets including the laundry will be plumbed with hot water.
• We ensure that all plumbing is be done to professional standards.
• 200 amp electrical service for all of our toys. The norm in Costa Rica is 70 amps because there are no water heaters, furnaces or air conditioners.
• We are open to new ideas and if there is something that you "just have to have" we will find a way to do it and will do it properly.

Other unique options include:

• Breakout box for an optional generator in the event of an extended power failure.
• Conduit for surround sound speaker systems for the family room and master bedroom.
• Optional wiring or conduit in place for an alarm or security system.
• Central point for cabling for a satellite or cable TV system.
